EQUARATER SDN BHD(ESB),a Malaysian company,
was incorporate on 10th July 1995 and was activated in March 1996
when its local shareholders entered into a joint venture agreement
withwith a Finnish expert in the Sub-Surface Surveying and Mapping
Technology.ESB was established to provide accurate underground utility
network information to any party that is involved in the excavation
business and has the capacity and capabilities of providing colour
coded map of all existing underground utilities networks including
related topographical features
ESB is equipped with a whole
range of the latest field instruments to enable the company to produce
high quality sub-surface survey results. These include various brands of
cable & pipe locators,ground penetrating radar (GPR),global positioning
system (GPS), electronic measurement distance (EDM),dataloggers,field
computers,metal locatoes and etc
In terms of manpower and
equipment, ESB is currently the biggest sub-surface surveying survey
company in the country, specializing in providing high quality sub-surface
survey services. ESB has developed and tailored highly effective software
for sub-surface surveying.
As a recognition of the
valuable services provided by ESB in August 1997 the Penang State Exco
accepted a proposal by ESB to establish the PENANG STATE GOVERNMENT
SUBTERRANEAN DATA BANK (Sutra D'Bank) and hence on 12th May 1998, a
subsidiary company EQUARATER (PENANG) SDN BHD (EPSB), a joint venture
company between Equarater Sdn Bhd and the Penang Development Corporation
was established at a formal signing ceremony witnessed by YAB Tan Sri Dr
Koh Tsu Koon, Chief of Minister of Penang to undertake this function.
